Branches of ancient pine trees reach down, as if trying to touch the sea and are just another reason why for so many visitors it is "love at first sight".

Pollença is a dynamic place where social life revolves around the main square. Under the shade of huge silver trees the comings and goings of life can be enjoyed from the terraces of the squares varied and numerous bars are restaurants. “Can Moixet” (Bar Español) is the emblematic place to visit. If you have a sweet tooth try head for the kiosk in the square and choose one of the artisan ice-creams from “Can Buxaca”(Helados Valls).
Stroll through the village to the twin arched Roman Bridge, en route you will come across the parish church which by built by Templar Knights and the cloisters of Santo Domingo where the internationally prestigious Festival of Pollença has been celebrated for over 50 years.
Wander around and find Calle Jesus; where the first of 365 steps takes you up to a retreat chapel surrounded by the stations of the cross representing Jesus and Calvary. From this advantage point you have a panoramic view over the whole area. Another must is a visit to the Puig de Maria from where the Formentor peninsula, the Cala San Vicente valley, the bay of Pollença and the bay of Alcudia are clearly visible.
Pollença has enjoyed a lengthy tradition with hand crafts of all types. With several work shops continuing to produce hand made furniture, one of the very few textile producers remaining on the island continues to use traditional looms, numerous art galleries, internal design shops, hand crafted gifts and artisan gastro shops all thrive here. The Sunday morning markets in Pollença and on Wednesdays in Port de Pollença should not be missed.
Fragrant pine woods are all accessed by a breathtaking, winding coastal road where any number of experiences are offered; discover coves which can only be reached on foot or by sea – such as Cala Murta, Cala Boquer or Cala Figuera. Look out for the numerous species of birds dominating the skies above this ideal habitat. Should you wish to go higher, continue your walk up to the Albercutx watch tower, where spectacular views of the whole peninsula make the effort worth while.

Row from Port de Pollença to Punta Avanzada then on to Cala Pi, arriving finally at Formentor beach. Highly recommend to the more adventurous. 21 km from Pollença.
Cala Sant Vicen´is made of up four coves; Cala Barques, Cala Clara, Cala Molins and Cala Carbó.
